Deciding to move across the country is not for the faint of heart. There is the beauty of unknown adventures in a new place awaiting you. But there is also the bittersweet emotions of leaving a place you’ve lived so much life in. A shadow loss is the term which I learned from Cole Imperi, founder of the School of American Thanatology. Cole and Victor gifted me the honor of documenting a quiet day taking in all the memories and sentiments of their home preceding a relocation to California.
